Three categories of wearables connect to Home Assistant: Apple Watch via HomeKit integration sends heart rate, irregular rhythm notifications, and fall detection data to HA; Garmin via Garmin Connect IQ integration provides stress level, SpO2, and sleep quality readings; and Withings Health Mate via a HACS custom component delivers blood pressure, weight, and sleep apnea risk data.
HappySmart’s Medication Reminder system uses HA automation with a Zigbee smart plug: at medication time, HA activates a red indicator light on the medicine cabinet, sends a LINE notification listing the medication name and dosage, and announces through Google Nest Mini. If the elderly resident does not respond within 15 minutes, the system escalates to a Level 2 LINE alert to family members.
Heart Rate Anomaly Detection reads Apple Watch HR data every 5 minutes via HA. If HR exceeds 100 bpm continuously for 10 minutes or drops below 50 bpm, a LINE alert is sent immediately.
