TREES (Thai’s Rating of Energy and Environmental Sustainability): Thailand’s Green Building standard, developed by the Thai Green Building Institute. TREES-NC (New Construction) and TREES-EB (Existing Building) offer achievable criteria for ordinary homes through systematic improvement.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design): The international standard from the US Green Building Council, recognised in Thailand’s Luxury and Corporate real estate markets. LEED for Homes has specific criteria for residential properties.

Thailand grid Emission Factor (EGAT 2024): 0.4757 kgCO2e/kWh
Example: a home using 600 kWh/month emits approximately 285 kgCO2e/month, or 3,420 kgCO2e/year — equivalent to driving approximately 14,000 kilometres.
Installing a 5 kWp Solar system generating 600 kWh/month → Grid Import reduced to zero → Carbon Footprint reduced by 285 kgCO2e/month, or 100% during months of sufficient solar generation.

For a mid-size Thai home, a 5–7 year Net-Zero Pathway:
